Tax Inspectors Close 52 Shops in Macedonia
BorisVM Skopje. During joint operation of Internal Revenue Service, Market Inspection and Macedonian Interior Ministry in towns of Skopje, Gostivar and Kavadarci the Tax Inspectorate closed down 52 shops, Macedonian TV station Kanal 5 informs. Each of the shop owners received a fine of MKD 55,000 (MKD 60 = EUR 1) and they are banned from doing any trade activities in the next 30 days. Tax Inspection informed that it found out the inspected shops did not issue receipts even though they had cash registers. Another reason for closing down the shops was that some of them sold tobacco and alcohol without excise labels. The check-ups will continue.
