BorisVM By the looks of the message, it doesn't look like its written in Macedonian.
DJ_SHEMA Take a pic of it and post it. You have done a bad job in trying to write the letter.
RussianSpy back to the original topic, she (heh, i thought it was he!) got another paragraph for us: Atrinke az sum na 3520 g. imam dve decha, mana (nana) i matko sa dobre e zdravemo malko se razksatvat no tova mikava za vae az kasho nezkai mosetivee azo odirati titiki za da znai kesho i za vae, veetai eme rodkini trelva da ee zkaet s mezi nekolko reda ti iocheelavat kam-nekreki iocheelat za doli i shaetliv neuvot. please, give it a try. tia!
RussianSpy firstly, thanks SHEMA for talking a moment and explaining things calmly. and Thunder, what the FUCK is your problem? stubborn? what the fuck you're even talking about? where the fuck you see me making any statements about your history? uh? just wanted to get a quick answer to a specific question - what historical event might've lead to non-slavic nation using a slavic (???) language. just out of fucking curiosity someone being interested in part of your history, and you don't have fucking brains to even read the questions right.. @the rest of the comuunity: sorry for all the cursing, won't happen again. nothing else to do for me here anyways.. peace.
fumfudge Here is your transcript: "Pimami mezi nenolko rega s koemo iscam ga me nanera v galpo zgrave i -aemliv usuvam noelu - - - iu-gmm az cvm na Lando Sumanov v-erz, niolo ivmi ene irikazvali za vae no cano iriskime remavam nova lemo ni teme na loemu meo alekeo i mou ni gage agreca ga vi ce olags." Here's what I could make out of it: "Pisham ti tezi nekolko reda s koeto iskam da te namera v dobro zdrave i ---- az sum na Sando Shumanov deshterja ---- sme prikazvali za vas no samo ----- reshavam tova leto --- Alekso i toi ni dade adresa da vi se obadi." Translated in English: "I am writing you these few lines hoping that they will find you in good health and----(broken words)-----I am Sando Shoumanov's daughter---we have talked about you but-----have decided this summer----Alekso (Alex) who gave us your address so that we can write to you." I hope that helps you a bit. Regards, F.
RussianSpy thanks a lot fudge, i posted this as a reply over there, this no doubt will help. i guess its for an old Makedonian woman, who lost contact w/ her relatives in the home lands, and language knowledge too... making people connect to the roots :) thanks again folks. yo, before i forgot to ask, are Makedonians considered slavs? i mean, language deffinately looks slavic. reading your "mid-translation", even i can understand half of the words :) and whats up with the alphabet, isn't makedonian alphabet cyrillic? yeah, even russians use latin "translit"/"latinitsa" but only on PC, when no cyrillic support is installed on computer. but why whould she write a perosnal letter in latin? :-/ ah, the reason i've asked is i was on some other makedonian forum and there are some heated conversations going on about makedonians being greeks or something. i know its a question historians can probably mumble fot hundreeds of pages about, but maybe in a couple of words whats the story...? :))
Thunder from down under Spy, we were there when the slavs come in the 8th century we are not slavs and yes we use some alphabet as russians cyrilic alphabet it originates from macedonia then we spread it around :)))
RussianSpy oh yeah, i totaly forgot, Cyrill and Methodius (or however you spell their names), but didn't the ycame from greece? i guess makedonia was part of greece back then, eh? (as you can see im not very big on history :) yeah, wait, but the _language_ ... forget alphabet for a moment, different slavic nations use latin or cyrillic alphabets and even those are not completely the same... but the words are no doubt slavic! i mean, take an example from above w/ possible russian eqvivalents: Pisham ti - pishem tebe nekolko - neskol'ko iskam - isskat' v dobro zdrave - v dobrom zdravii/zdorovie deshterja - docherja sme - thats western slav's thing "(we) are" leto - leto plus all the i, na, s, da - its deffinately not greek, i know what greek's like, my 2 cousin sisters and uncle are fluent in it :) so, you know what i mean? how come you're speak slavic language not actually being slavs? all the slavs' influence since 8th century? when did greece lost control over you folks? :))
Thunder from down under there is plenty to read and learn about Macedonia and macedonian history on this forum
DJ_SHEMA Cyrill was from Solun (greek thesaloniki). Back than Macedonia span all the way to the Aeagan sea and included Solun in its teritorry . In 1912 the balkan wars divided Macedonia and Solun Become greek :(. If Kiril (macedonian fo Cyrill) was greek he wouldn't have spent all his life in Ohrid trying to develop the Cyrilic Alphabet. I can asure you that there weren't any greek speaking clergy in Ohrid then, as they aren't now. The communists from 1945 to 1990 prached that today's Macedonians (and all other nations in Yougoslavia) came from Ukraina as part of the big slavic movement. They did this so that everybody in Yougoslavia felt they were all one happy slavic nation. Well in 1991 we all saw what Croatians, Serbs and Slovenians thought about that. Regarding the Macedonians, even if there was some Slavic migration, long before that time there were Macedonians on this teritory dating as far back as Philiph II and Alexander the great. They are regarded as Antic Macedonians that have troughout time evolved in today's modern Macedonians. In 1990, when Macedonia was becoming a sovereign nations, Greeks frekaed out that we will try to reunite all of our teritories and tried in every possible way to denounce our name and nation. Here is a greek site that in a very uninformative and naive, but yet honest way, describes all the Greek activities that went on ten years ago in attempt to force our name change. http://www.greecetravel.com/macedonia/overview.html More facts can be found in the Hitory part of the forum.

what do you trying to say with this ? we have never been part of greece or been control by them
fumfudge :)))))))) For a second he must have thought you are some provocator that came to irritate poeple in the disguise of someone that needs help. We think that you aren't of that sort at all, but if you are, then we are buffled at the ways that you provide yourself with entertainment. Anyhow, regarding your questions, today's Macedonians are of Slavic descent, our ancestors fused witht the Ancient Macedonians upon settling of their territory back in the days, and the two groups gradually assimilated each other. That's why Macedonian language is Slavic, and that's why the name of the Ancient Macedonians has not been lost since. Recently, in the past decade or so, the name "Macedonia" has become a cause for a dispute for some people, who up until "yesterday" didn't give a jack about it. All of a sudden they are making such a havoc...but the story is too long alredy, and the truth is in front of you. We are Macedonians, no more no less. And that's the plain truth. Now if you want to research the French Spaniards or the Dutch Germans, I'm sure you can find material for that too, since as of lately we have a growing number of Macedonian-what-not's who are claiming to be the copyright owners of our national name and symbols. But in the age of legal argument and copyright ownership their stupity is given at least a chance for a dispute, if nothing else. F.
RussianSpy all the misunderstandings were resolved over PM, we're cool Thunder, i just don't know what im talking about, thats all. i don't get it, how does someone have copyrights on the country name ? i'd understand if there was another country named he same and then you'd ahve a problem , but right now there's no plain Makedonia on the map, right? only The Former Yugoslav Republic of Makedonia? and those copyrights talks get in a way of naming the country Makedonia or Republic of Makedonia? wait, those "people" you're talking about wouldn't be the northern part of Greece, which also nameed Makedonia or something to do with Makedona (i guess thats the part of Greece that was formely part of your country, as DJ_SHEMA explained)?
Thunder from down under OK Now the first map is our Macedonia. in 1913 was divided by some agreement Macedonia was to be use by greeks for 75 years or so just like the case with Hong Kong when England return it to China like a gentlemans in 1996 51% was given to greece something like 20 % to bulgarians and the rest was to yugoslavia The part from yugoslavia we got it back in 1990 greeks and bulgarians just can let go of our teritory greeks i dont think they can survive without the macedonian land If you ever got a chance to visit greece ,when you cross the border between Macedonia and greece you will notice a beautifull land every thing nice and green you keep going to athens untill you no longer see the nice and green land thats when you enter greece cos there will be only rocks no land that you can use for anything, on the side of the road there is a big big white rocks thats where the border was between Macedonia and greece And that part between the today border between Macedonia and where this white big rocks that part greeks call it Macedonia The second map is the part we got back from yugoslavia in 1990 Dont know much about bulgarians but thay changed the surnames of Macedonians with bulgarians so did the greeks changed the surnames of Macedonians That text is in bulgarian someone should be able to translate it for you. If you wanted a translation in serbian(yugoslav) the will be millions of replays it will be like a competition who speaks better serbian[}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)](The man who wanted to kill Stalin has not give they souls back to this people ) [:D][:D] I only speak Macedonian and English i ll give it a try anyways :)) "Antrik i have to children Nana (female) and Matko(male)and they doing ok thats about all i can translate becouse it is bulgarian

komita MRS bre kurvo Ruska Za 10 $ se prodavate zaborajv da ti recam znaes sto ti znaci Putin ili Putana na grcki e KURVA
RussianSpy is this in makedonian or in bad russian? cause i think i can actually understand that... is the 1st line says he knows some russian whore for 10 bucks somewhere? well, if she's pretty - u're lucky sone of a bitch, cause Moscow prices are in $50-$100 an hour range (100'n'up for decent looking ones). and yes, "putana" does means a slut/whore/prostitue, but it isn't greek word, its french. are you trying to say something or just being a smart ass?
fumfudge Spy, in other words he was trying to say that although Russia has the best resources in the world to be the No. 1 country in the world with the greatest potential to remain there, it is such a wreck of a country. He just can't understand how that could happen? That's all, but he phrased it a little bit to bluntly. Regards from the southernmost south of the Slavdom.
Bravo Lol Fumfudge , you are No One ...I like how did u ya paraphrased the previos text [:D][:D][:D]
RussianSpy yeah, lol, what a r u, in politics or something?
fumfudge No man, don't get me wrong, no hard feelings at all, most of the people feel for Russia in one way or another, and a lot of them are frustrated that our biggest "sister" doesn't do such a good job as some other lot crappier and poorer in resources countries of the world do. To find out more about the Russian psyche - "dusha", I'd recommend people to tap into Russian literature, and see how similar the Slavic people think, and how different they are from the ambitiuous, goal-driven and relentless Westerner. Particular recommendations: by all means Chehov and Dostoevski. Shpion, if you have any others to add feel free, educate these folks.[:)] Regards. F.
