The supporter group "Majmuni" so far has attended many matches of
the Macedonian Football and Handball national teams.For the match
against England which was played on Sep. 6th 2003 was another
opportunity for a road trip to support our national team.Right after
the friendly game against Albania which was played in our hometown
Prilep,we started getting ready for a trip to Skopje for the
Macedonia-England game.Before the match we held a couple meetings
where we talked about specific things for our support for the
Macedonian National Team.Thats where we decided to make the
flag "First Two Kings - Macedonia vs England" and it would have the
two flags with crowns above them.Even though there was suppose to be
coreography in the stands it never happened because of explained
reasons."Tutunski Kombinat" - Prilep were the ones who helped us out
especially with the bus rides.It was decided to leave from Prilep at
12:30.
All of us meet at "Pred Reklami" at 12:15, but we had to wait until
12:50 for the bus to officially leave with drinks and food.Like
always "Majmuni" were equiped with supporters gear like
flags,scarfs,jerseys,hats and everyone was joyfull and ready to get
going for the game in Skopje.At Pletvar they told us that the road
had been mined, so we had to wait 20 minutes for it the road to be
cleared.On the road we were greeted by many uncoming automobiles and
trucks which gave us there full support.During the whole trip no one
stopped singing and yelling slogans, it was louder and louder as we
got to Skopje were we got the full support for the Skopje citizens on
the streets.At 15:30 we were already infront of the stadium again
singing our songs.Here is where the provocations came from our rival
supporter group Komiti from Skopje.
At first while getting to the stadium one
idiot swore at us and then right after that one person from our group
caught him but a bigger incident was prevented because we didn’t want
some idiot to ruin the fun we were having.After we got through the first
police patrol infront of the entrance,one smaller group of Komiti
started again to swear and yell provacative slogans towards us
(perhaps jelousy on there part cause some of they weren't allowed in
the stadium) but there was no bigger incident there either cause they
right after that they ran away.Getting through the police patrols was
hassle free without any incidents, but our hard
objects were taken away from us for security reasons only a few
people who smuggled them in kept them.Inside the east terrance we
occupied one block of space which was
secured for us and then right after some people from Skopje and Veles
joined us.From other Supporter groups nothing not a shreak or a
peak.Komiti barely had 100 members there and Loyal Fans only had 30-
40 members.During the first half the enjoyment and fun was a lot
better same as the supporting with Macedonia leading 1-0."Majmuni" were the only ones in the crowd singing supporter songs no
one else in the stadium joined us so it was annoying.All the other
knew was "Macedonia Macedonia" and "Fuck You England" ,so we were
left by ourself to honor the Macedonia Tifo Scene with only 80 of us
there.At halftime we used the time to talk and get to know some of
small amount of English fans in attendance on our side of the
stadium.As a gift we gave them a scarf of our club FC Pobeda Prilep
and some information about our group "Majmuni Prilep" .And for
memories of the match they wanted to take a picture with the girls
that were with us and there scarfs that said "Macedonia" .Too bad
there prediction of them winning 2-1 came true and that was the
reason at the end there was less and less support from the stands.But
in the end the hardworking Macedonian players were sent off the field
with an applouse from us and we started to head back to Prilep a
little upset with the loss but very satasfied with players
hardwork.On the way out there was no incidents at all like always
when the supporters group "Majmuni Prilep" is in question.
