| Cleopatra | I heard that Alexander was buried under a mountain in honey to preserve him. Has any one else heard any stories of Alexander from the elderly? I've also heard that Alexander the Great cursed Macedonia never to rise again. I personally don't believe that because we will rise again and be stronger. |

| Cleopatra | I've heard of that too. I've spent the last almost 10 years studying Alexander and there are things that we will just never know. In someways its disappointing. Its amazing though how in the end he got what he wanted, Everlasting Glory. There is no one in this world who hasn't heard of him, unless they are completely ignorant. And because we will probably never find his tomb it is like his body was just taken up to the Gods and there he sits with them. Something he wanted according to the books. |

| Cleopatra | What we need is someone to lead us again, someone like Alexander. But what are the chances of that happening? I find it very upsetting how here in Canada the macedonian people treat each other so badly. They try to cheat eacher other any chance they get. I hope one day we will have someone like Alexander again to unite us and take back our country. So no one has heard stories of Alexander the Great from their grandparents or great grandparents? I'm sure you all have. I'd like to hear them if you'd like to post them. |

| Cleopatra | can you tell me about what they said about his army? I like hearing stories about him that are passed down. They have a special thing to them when you hear them from someone, it's so much more interesting then hearing it from a book. |
| mnik | I have heard that he cursed Macedonia with the words: "since I did't succeded to make Great Macedonia, no one shall ever build it again". this is told from our elder, my grand mother hense. and if one thinks about all the blood that he spell, no wonder that he and the Macedonians got cursed from god. take look to Germany, their blood gets thiner, and they have no natality more, exactly as the French too. with all the blood that they have on their hands, I mean inocent blood, there is no wonder that the nation is to vanish, exactly with us Macedonians. but this is just my oppinion. But rememmber that the Persian caled the Alexander "Sikandar the cursed". Why did they do this, simply because he broke their kingdom, and slaughtered anybody who dared to go agains him. apropo Sikandar, I think this is the real name of Aleksandar, since Aleksandar is just an Graeca verca name as Ceops for Ku-Fu Pharao. so look at the word "Sikandar"->"Sakandar" cool [:D] |
