Nikolina I'm wondering if there are alot of Macedonians on here from the US?! Sorry, i'm a virgin to this..haha!! Bare with me! [:X]
Balalovski I'm 100% Macedonian born in America so I don't know what that would make me. I don't know if anyone of you know my dad, but he was a well known person in Macedonia and was a teacher. My dad is Aleksandar Balalovski. So if you know him, just tell me here and I could tell him! I'm probably gonna write like this because its hard to write in Macedonian with english letters! But I can understand what you guys are saying![:D]Macedonia, for the Macedonians!!!! P.S. Does anyone know of any good airplane rates to Macedonia? We might go this summer! My friends are going, their last name is Icovski. Thanks, Philip B

Samantha Nikolina, I'm half Macedonian also on my dad's side. I'm embarrassed to say that I do not speak the language, but I'm trying to learn about more of the culture.I would appreciate any input. Thank You![:)]
dj_poo Hey Samantha, If you want to learn more about the culture you should definitely go to Macedonia along with reading about it. If you truly want to learn the language you can, but it is all on you. If you have any particular questions about the culture just ask, I am sure someone will be able to answer them. [:)][:)]
Astrogirl Yeah go to Macedonia and be prepared for a culture shock[:D]

GERG279 hey, i was just surfing on the web for some information on macedonia because i was born there and both of my parents are macedonian. I came to america when i was 6 years old so I dont remember how to speak the language all that well, but i still understand it. If any body has some information on Macedonia, could you email me? We're visiting their this summer for the first time in about 10 years so im a little afraid to say the least. thanks alot
fumfudge What kind of info are you looking in particular for? I would recommend that you visit the web site www.macedonia.org and browse the categories that interest you, or check out their links section if you need to expand on that. If you need help with any kind of first-hand information about Macedonia - since you mentioned you are visiting there this summer - if you just ask, I am sure someone here will be more than happy to give you an answer. Enjoy your stay in Macedonia.
GERG279 I think most of the questions that i have are about the language. I know most of the words and i can put them together but it always feels weird- and my mom has a lot of Bulgarian friends and they come over alot so i get confused... they sound similar to me (the languages) but i find my self mixing things up a bit. it would be great if somebody out their could write out some sentences in macedonian and put translations right after so then i get my words strait haha. I'm going to get my mom to help me tomorrow morning and im thinking about starting to -try- to speak it full time when im at home .. butta.... thats a long shot. [:D]

glupa kengurka.
GERG279 That would be a little embarassing (private messaging some one i dont know) but i'll think about it. But me and my mom went to the park today and she started talking to me in Macedonian, so now im calling her 'mamo' and we had a long conversation about a 'yabulka' -which is apple, sorry but my spelling also needs work hehe~ I know it sounds weird, its like: how many things could a person possibly have to say about apples, but it was pretty interesting. I'm hopping that she'll teach me how to write later on this week if shes not too bussy with work, but thanks for the "pm" suggestion. :)
