Canmak [img]What constitutes "High human development"?[/img] There are alot of factors that constitute the HDI (human developement index) alot of factors such as education, standard of living, health care, etc. We slipped and it shows that the liberal gov't has become comfortable with a majority gov't for the last 10 years or so.....maybe its time for a right wing party to take over who knows.....but from being in the top 5 the last 15 years or so (7 or 8 of which we were #1 ) to falling to number 8 shows that some where along the line we have failed and we must correct that. I wonder where we failed? OooOo do you have a link for this?
Astibus I think failed is a harsh word,maybe we've just been in neutral while all these other nations have advanced,plus i bet the SARS scare and mad cow incident didn't help.
