Announcement: It is our DUTY as Macedonians...
MKoloski MOYANA NEEDS YOUR HELP! Being part of the Macedonian Orthodox Youth Association of North America (hereinafter MOYANA) is not an easy task, but in the end, your efforts, time, and dedication to this cause will be very rewarding. MOYANA was established to serve the purpose of uniting and activating the Macedonian youth for the preservation and promotion of the Macedonian identity and the Orthodox Christian Faith. It is our DUTY as Macedonians to CONTINUE it. MOYANA needs active, energetic, enthusiastic, passionate, and most importantly, dedicated individuals to fill the following volunteer positions: Youth Coordinators for: ·New York City/New Jersey Metropolitan Area (3 individuals) ·Greater Toronto Metropolitan Area (3 individuals) ·State of Indiana (3 individuals) ·State of Ohio (3 individuals) ·State of New York (3 individuals) ·State of Michigan (3 individuals) ·Chicago Metropolitan Area (3 individuals) ·West Coast Region (3 individuals) ·Chapter-at-Large (5 individuals) (Areas out of the Greater Toronto Metro Area, Philadelphia, Florida, Arizona, Washington, DC, & for those that do not have an Macedonian Orthodox parish near them) Qualifications: ·Must be age 18 and over; ·Must live in the above mentioned areas, states, or regions; ·Working knowledge of English; Macedonian recommended, but not required; ·Demonstrate commitment to the growth of the Orthodox Youth Movement and the Macedonian Communities in North America; ·Responsibility; ·Strong communication and writing skills; Computer literate; ·Accountability to goals; conducting research; ·Willingness to learn new skills and ideas and work hard to achieve MOYANA goals; and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!! Position Description: This upcoming year, the youth coordinators from each area/state/region of MOYANA will be concentrating as a TEAM to continue the work of past youth coordinators to build MOYANA (structure, bylaws, membership, activities, network). Youth Coordinators will be responsible in… ·Initiating the first steps to forming a youth organization in their area/state/region; ·Organizing the 2nd Annual MOYANA Conference and Elections to be held during the 30th Annual American-Canadian Macedonian Orthodox Convention in Los Angeles, please keep in mind that it is not mandatory to attend, but that it is highly recommended and encouraged; ·Organize the youth activities during this convention; ·Organize social, cultural, and educational youth events in your community; ·Organize one or two national meetings throughout the year; and ·Marinating contact with their respective spiritual leaders, parish councils, community leaders, and the youth.
