1869 - Dr. Hristo Tatarchev was born. He was one of the founders of
the Macedonian revolutionary organisation in Thessaloniki in 1893. He
was also the president of the organisation since its foundation until
1901. He died in 1952 in Torino, Italy.
1912 - Kole Nedelkovski, the famous Macedonian poet and
revolutionist, was born in the village of Vojnica, Veles region. Kole
Nedelkovski published only two poem collections "M'lskavci" (The
Thunderbolts) and "Pesh po svetot" (Walking around the World), which
express social and revolutionary ideas. He committed suicide in the
fight against Bulgarian fascists on Sept. 2, 1941.
1945 - The trial of 106 Macedonian from the town of Hrupishta, Kostur
region, began. They were accused for co-operation with the enemy
despite of being fighters of ELAS. Some were sentenced to life
imprisonment.
1969 - Vasil Hadzimanov, Macedonian ethnomusicologist and pedagogue,
died in Skopje. He was born in Kavadarci on Jan. 14, 1906.
1993 - The six EU member states - the UK, Germany, France, Italy,
Netherlands and Denmark, established diplomatic relations with the
Republic of Macedonia. |

You are wrong, Ivan Tatarchev is not a grandson of Hristo Tatarchev. He is his nephew. He was one of the main people who were against legalization of OMO Ilinden.
