Ban on gay marriages
Ban on gay marriages
BorisVM Subject: Ban on gay marriages To: Sen. Edward Kennedy Sen. John Kerry February 12, 2004 I read the paper this morning and felt compelled to write a letter to you all. I am so disappointed on how split you are on this amendment. The people who don't want this to pass are hiding behind "discrimination". As far as discrimination goes, as a Christian heterosexual married female, I should be screaming discrimination. My rights and my children's rights are being taken away DAILY. My child (if he went to public school) can't even have the right to worship Jesus!!! Something is very wrong here. Marriage is extremely sacred and is a union taken into by a man and a woman period. There is no discrimination there. That is just what it is. God invented marriage. The first marriage to ever take place in the history of the world was Adam and Eve. He didn't say Adam and Adam or Eve and Eve. Please, keep it that way. For the sake of us Moms and Dads who are trying (sometimes against all of you) to raise wholesome children who will be a blessing to society. Tell me this. If this passes and gays and lesbians are allowed to marry. Then I guess the polygamists can take a stand too. They can be allowed right? SURE they can. Because THAT would be discrimination and the gays and lesbians get to do it. Massachusetts is going to have a bigger mess on its hands than the big dig. And the next opportunity that my husband gets to move out of here, we are taking it. Massachusetts is going down the tubes fast. The only good thing about your support of the gays and lesbians and their rights. Is that my Dad has finally gone Republican!!! Yes! Just over this issue that has sickened him so much. And many of his friends too. Thank you for that.
graf I believe that if gays want to marry they can (and stay away from me) but they should not be allow to adopt children .
