Hopefully, someone can help. I was reading on IMDB that Before the Rain was released on DVD in Macedonia. Is this the case? Does it have English subtitles? Where can it be purchased if so?

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I have no friends in Macedonia. Perhaps there is a retailer on the internet from Macedonia that someone knows of? I do have 2 copies of the VHS but I hate videotapes. |

It is produced Dvd in property of Ministry of culture for promotional diplomatic purpuses in limited number.I know Tarantino wanted this Dvd,so he get one with diplomatic post.So I can advise you ,to contact the Ministry of culture -say that you are Jackie Chan and give your address(Not Jackie),and wait for free copy:). |

I think I should pretend I am Tom Cruise, he might have better pull than Jackie Chan. :)
I appreciate the information. It's hard to believe that there isn't a readily available DVD of this film. I went ahead and wrote the Ministry to see if I can get a copy. Meanwhile, if anybody has one available please let me know. |

The DVD was released for the genereal public too, even though in limited numbers. However, I am pretty positive there are copies available in Macedonia. I saw a copy of both Before the rain and Dust in Skopje this past December (Jugoton Music Store, at GTC). If you have someone over there i am sure they can get it. You can get it on VHS at amazon.com.

I called that Jugoton Music Shop and they didn't have any available. The person on the phone said I would not find it anywhere and that it was, as f9 stated, for promotional purposes only. Well, if anybody can hook me up, please let me know. |
