We are receiving word from friends in Washington D.C. that Greek nationalists are bombarding the White House with phone calls, faxes, and e-mails protesting President Bush's continued reference to our homeland, as Macedonia and not Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
We must all get on the phone today, tomorrow, and the remainder of this week and keep calling the White House every day to thank President Bush and encourage him to stand strong with America's firm ally in the Balkans against corruption and terrorism, Macedonia and her right to be called and recognized by its constitutional name, Macedonia and not Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
Every phone call, fax, and e-mail is tallied. Phone calls and faxes are the most important.
Please invest the few dollars necessary to place a couple of long distance calls to the White House.
It is time to encourage President Bush to fight for what freedom really stands for - the key to our freedom is first to be acknowledged as Macedonians. If you do not make YOUR voice heard, the other side will.

On behalf of the members of the Pan-Macedonian Association USA – Canada please
allow me to convey warmest greetings to you. As US Citizen of Greek decent
whose family origin is from''Macedonia'', we are greatly concerned about the
misuse of the term “Macedonia”. As Henry Kissinger once stated “I happen to
know history while not many on the “Hill” do, therefore I do know the rights (of
FYROM’s name issue) are with Greece”. The interpretation of the above statement
is that the term “Macedonia” is uniquely and solidly Hellenic.

What for I have to beg ?
For the position of the Government
in Skopje and it's philosophy
that we have to be "recognized by our constitutional name, "
and that is "Republic of Macedonia" .
If they were some initiatives or some actions from this Government ,that we have to be recoginse as Republic of ..
that would give me poosibility to make a protest over it.
But lucky me it's seems that is happening absolutely NOTHING
from it's side .
The name of My country is Makedonija
and if the Government
in Skopje will change it's position and take a course that is what we have to fight about that ,my fully support will come at once .
At this way I have no idea what is worse option .

or
"Former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia"
There is only one name what Will united us and that name is
Makedonija
Political sistem is changeable matter ,
it is a nounsense using it as political decoration

Macedonia or Republic of Macedonia it doesn`t make difference.The difference is that countries which have "Republic" in their official names are just trying to point out their internal organization of government. |
