DC, Northern Virginia Rank No. 4 in Forbes "Best Places" Poll
Washington, DC -- The area comprising DC and Northern Virginia has
been ranked No. 4 in Forbes magazine's newly released list of the
nation's "Best Places for Business and Careers." The magazine ranked
the 150 largest metro areas in terms of factors such as the cost of doing business, job growth and educational attainment. Boise, Idaho topped the list, followed by Raleigh, N.C. and Austin, Texas.
DC and Northern Virginia were especially noted for education
and leisure, with the area ranking second in the share of adults with at least a bachelors degrees and seventh in an index based on museums,
theaters, golf courses and sports teams.
